ephyros is the Immortal, God of the west wind, which transformed into a horse to pull Zeus’ carriage. His wind created the water turbulence that gave birth to Aphrodite. In 2011, it is giving life to the nicest little hotel in Datça. Set in a vast plot of land, surrounded on all sides by olive groves with nothing to spoil nature’s perfection, it is unpretentious and honest. From the spot it occupies, 270 meters above sea level, you get a spectacular view of the Greek islands of Symi, Rhodes, Halki and Tilos. The stone building is exactly as it should be: a genuine Mediterranean house in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. The rooms are quite simple. The owners are recent converts to the hotel business. This summer will be their first season and they are full of excitement!
