Alanya is a nice place with a wonderful climate. The old city hidden behind its walls is just as interesting as ancient Antalya. Conveniently, the city now boasts a new airport. Thankfully, a few people are still trying to save us from tourist factories. Villa Turka is an elegant mansion with a commanding view of Alanya port. There is a nice beach five minutes away, beyond the ancient dockyard. A real Mediterranean garden with oranges, goji berries, basil and rocket surrounds the villa. And beyond it, hundreds of other historical houses. A rich selection is on offer at breakfast. If you want an evening meal, they’ll buy fresh food from the market and the fishmonger.
