T
his attractive hotel at the edge of the Gallipolli peninsula offers comfortable modern accommodation in a village setting. The stone-built main building and three annexes are organised around a central courtyard. In the summer, guests enjoy the view from the roof terrace; in the winter, they warm up by the fireplace, and pore through the collection of books and maps available here. The busy season is in the spring when travellers from Down Under descend on the peninsula for the annual pilgrimage to the graves of thousands of Anzac soldiers killed in the 1915 battle. The hotel owners, Eric, a Belgian history buff, and his wife Özlem, a former guide, prepare excellent food.
