espite the name, there is nothing remotely Indian about this place. It is in fact a fine example of a typically Aegean hotel, hidden in a shaded street of picturesque Alaçatı. The owners, two doctors, have clearly poured a lot of love and effort into transforming an old house once owned by a local dignitary into a stylish hotel. Poetic is the word that come to mind. From the mosaic floor in the secluded garden, softly lit at night, to the gauzy nets hanging over the beds and cast iron chairs, every careful detail contributes to an atmosphere of romance. The 'honeymoon' suite might even induce you to get married again. In one room, a wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine floor; another includes an old oven. All are equally beautiful and inviting.
