S
outh of Ölüdeniz is one of Turkeys last remaining stretches of virgin coast. The road climbs to prodigious heights along the corniche, going past scattered farms and hamlets where a tourist still arouses the curiosity of the children. Below a precipice is the celebrated Valley of Butterflies, its unspoiled beach nearly impossible to reach from land.
Değirmen is set in a wild crevice of the mountain above the Valley. It takes its name from a ruined watermill whose brook waters a lovely, sprawling Mediterranean garden built over terraces. It is a comfortable and civilised retreat built of natural materials - stone and timber - and on sound ecological principles. The rooms are vast, cosily outfitted with handmade furniture, kilims and reek of fresh pinewood. There is a fantastic view of the sea, and a wonderfully quiet swimming pool that is maintained by non-chemical means. An ancient Lycian road leads up from the mill to the ruins of Sidyma, a 3-hour walk.
Ferruh and Brigitte host a largely German clientele of nature and outdoor enthusiasts. They are expert organisers of paragliding and mountain climbing activities, rafting tours and hiking expeditions.

Kelebekler Vadisinin yamacında, Kabak koyuna komşu, taş ve ahşabın buluştuğu, keyifli bir ortam Su Değirmeni Otel. Su dağdan geliyor, havuz doğal olarak çivi.... Şarap kendi imalatları. Mezeler ve yemekler çok leziz...
