he location is great! Within a two-kilometre radius, you’ll find Istanbul’s best cafes, bars, bookshops and cinemas. And just a bit further, the Fish Market and the Flower Passage (Çiçek Pasajı) host the city’s nicest tavernas, spice merchants and fishmongers.
The building was erected 130 years ago as a French seminary for priests. Later, Lycee Saint-Michel used it as a lab. The building was used for various purposes in later years, until it was finallly converted into a very chic boutique hotel last year. An elegant wrought iron gate leads you into the inviting interior. The ceramic floor tiles are hand made and the blankets were specially designed and woven. Each room has its own fireplace. Beautiful black-and-white photos of Istanbul successfully completes the decor.
