T
his rustic pension, built of stone and wood, is a cosy two-up, two-down, its homey atmosphere conferred by its friendly owner. The absence of cars is one of the most attractive features of Kaleköy, also known by its antique name Simena. The village (population 100) is reached by sea. History is everywhere in this corner of ancient Lycia: ruins merge with the rocky background and can also be seen through the clear water, in the sunken cities that have made Kekova famous. By local standards, the rooms here are fairly large. From upstairs, you see yachts gently bobbing up and down on the waves, while the downstairs rooms benefit from the shade of surrounding trees. There is also a very inviting veranda, surrounded by greenery.
