ust when we thought architectural diversity had been exhausted in the fairytale land of Cappadocia, we were proved wrong in Sinasos (Mustafapaşa). This attractive village stands out from others in the area, yet there is nothing showy about it. Staid mansions with large gardens hide behind high walls.
The original Greek residents took the past with them when they emigrated, but tourism has given the village a new lease of life. At the Perimasali Hotel, (means Fairy Tale Hotel) guests embark on an unusual adventure in the footsteps of an enthusiastic designer.
Wall reliefs, lighting effects and unusual sculptures create a mysterious atmosphere. The terrace of the 19th century building, which has been renovated from top to bottom, overlooks a square where nothing much happens.
