hite and Aegean blue are the dominant colours in Alaçatı, as everyone knows. When it opened last year, Mercan Köşk decided to break this uniformity by offering a red alternative. From the blinds to the doorframes, everything is crimson. But inside the rooms, different colours meet the eye: green, dark blue, lilac. The decor owes a lot to the lady owner who painted the motifs on the pillow cases herself. With delicate touches such as flowers in tiny planters, ornate bedspreads, she created an inviting atmosphere. The evening cocktails aren’t bad either. Definitely worth a try!
