his chic hotel comes as a pleasant surprising in a mountain setting. It has plenty of rustic charm and its wooden architecture is faithful to tradition, but the interior is far from the slapdash décor you’d expect in a highland lodge. No expenses have been spared: the rooms boast huge LCD screens and wood was imported from Indonesia to make the tables and chairs. Wrought-iron bedframes, fireplaces, saunas and hamams complete the picture. Energy-saving bulbs were used, perhaps to compensate for the money spent on luxury equipment. The heated pool is open night and day. Guests can rent rooms in the main building or opt for independent one- or two-storey units. The hotel is only one hour away from Giresun. The absence of alcohol on the menu is its only shortcoming.

2009 yılında arkadaşımın tavsiyesi üzerine geldiğim otelde Karadeniz'in doğal güzelliklerinden birinin de Kümbet Mountain Resort olduğunu fark ettim. Hizmet ve kalite bakımından dağda bulunamıyacak güzellikte bir otel. Herkese tavsiye ederim.
