T
his is a romantic place where you come to cut yourself off from the rest of the world. Lycia is one of the most visited regions of Turkey, but this idyllic spot is far away from its well-trodden paths. So much so, in fact, that it can only be reached by sea. The water here is the turquoise shade you think is only found on postcards. The cove shelters a rich maritime life, which will delight snorkellers. The hotel's friendly and welcoming owner, Beliz, worked for major hotel groups before turning her family's old summer place into this boutique hotel. Built on several levels, it leans against the cliff, rising from the sea. Trees create hidden retreats and offer shade. The rooms are comfortable and airy, devoid of anything fussy or pretentious. Some of them are equipped with jacuzzis. The hotel serves excellent food and the atmosphere at night is magical.
