n recent years, Türkbükü has turned into a Turkish St. Tropez, attracting high society. It became so artyfarty and trendy that many of us ordinary people were left behind. Kaktüs Çiçeği is the antithesis of this trend. It harks back to the Bodrum of 30 years ago, providing service with a personal touch in a warm and unpretentious manner. This year, a Turkish-French couple has brought new blood to the place. Franc has worked as a cook all over the world. He met Neay in Paris and they both moved to Bodrum to run this hotel and restaurant, open all year. They have upgraded the rooms, adding touches of comfort here and there. The menu and wine lists were enriched too. Right by the sea, this hotel is one of the rare places where the Old Bodrum spirit is still alive.
