magic site in forest, far from most signs of human intrusion. The giant pines and lush undergrowth are fed by a stream that runs through the hotel grounds, filled to the brim with fat fish and tortoises. The air is heavy with the scent of wild honey and forest soil. An army of geese raises a racket at one end of the extensive property. The surveyors who named the site in the past were astonished by the variety of bird-life, and Bördübet is said to be a corruption of the English word "Birdbed".
The hotel consists of two-storey units that blend unobtrusively into the quasi-tropical landscape. Rooms come in three different categories of size and comfort. Although none is quite royal except in name, they are tastefully outfitted in modern country-style furniture especially designed for the hotel.
You can either take a boat or walk 20 minutes down the forest road to reach the beach, a totally private cove supplied with the civilised amenities of a good restaurant, a long wine list, and a set of good disks.

İster gökle buluşan ağaçların altında hamakta sallanır, ister harika bir yoldan kayıkla plaja gidersiniz, havuzun da keyifli olduğunu söylemeliyim. Yürümekten hoşlanıyorsanız ister tesis içinde küçük bir yürüyüş yaparsınız, isterseniz de çevrede tüm gününüzü alacak bir yürüyüşe çıkabilir ve kesinlikle eli boş dönmezsiniz. Yemeklerinizi balıkların kaplumbağaların gezindiği minik bir derenin kenarında yiyeceksiniz, odanız oraya bakacak. Bir zamanlar sevgilimle gitmiştim, umarım bu yıl kızımızla gideceğim.
