A
t Hayıtbükü there are a half dozen ramshackle lokanta-pensions, ten farmhouses and a few moored boats by the waterfront. And if that is too much for you, then try Kızılbük, another bay half a mile to the east. It has two farmhouses, some tangerine groves and only one lokanta-pension.
At the Pumpkins (for thats what the family name means) there are few amenities and little pretension of style, but the approach is warm, the garden nice, and the fish always fresh and delicious. The newly added bungalow-cottages may be aesthetically disastrous, but they leave not much to be desired in terms of basic uncomplicated comfort. The beach is 50 metres away and belongs to you alone. The sea is is beautiful as the Mediterranean can be.
A surprisingly high-calibre clientele from the big city enjoys here the sense of being very far away from the nonsense of civilisation.
