A
masra is a picturesque Black Sea fishing town perched on a rocky promontory. It has a long and eventful history, and even deserved a mention by Homer and Pliny the Younger. Once you've passed the last green hills that hide the Black Sea, the road begins to slope toward the coast and you reach Amasra's Y-shaped peninsula. The town has lost its strategic importance, but retained some of its charm and traditional houses even if it has not entirely escaped the advance of concrete. Emin Apart is among the modern buildings that have been built in recent years. But the hotel, which has 3 rooms and 2 apartments, is centrally-located, clean and comfortably furnished. It also commands a very nice view over the sea and the harbour

My husband and I recently spent three nights at Emin Apart Pension in Amasra. Our room which overlooked the big harbour, was well-equipped with fridge, satellite TV and big bathroom. Breakfast was served in a beautiful roof terrace garden and there was a large selection of dishes to choose from. The staff do not speak English, but are eager to help and communication was possible with the aid of a dictionary. I would definitely recommend this pension to anyone planning to stay in Amasra.
