T he Bayraktar’s moved to Ayvalık for work a decade ago. After retiring, they turned their house into a hotel. We're glad they did.

Ada, which means island, is also the name of their 9 year-old daughter. They added an Italian twist, and named their place ‘Casa Di Ada’.

The building is a pleasant combination of villa and traditional dwelling, with pine furniture and bright rooms. A garden replete with trees and flowers surrounds it. Beyond it: olive trees.

The food-loving owners took classes in French and Italian cooking. Their specialities include oven roasted lamb or kid, calamar with oranges, paella and pasta with fresh artichokes. Herbs and vegetables are grown in their own garden.
The sea is 300 m. away and a pleasant walk will take you to the centre of Cunda.
