ome people, attracted by Alaçatı’s growing reputation as a surfing centre, come here and are shocked to discover that the resort is not directly by the sea. It is of course somewhat strange! The good news is that the Marina Palace is very close to the water. You’ll only have to walk 40 meters to dip your toes. The hotel sits along the surf stretch, just before you reach the coast. It consists of fourteen rooms set in a large garden. Some of them are duplex and feel like small apartments. The small rooms are, as they name indicate, a bit small. Nautical objects have been used to create the decor. What stuck in our minds was the nice evening by the pool. Proximity to the sea is the main advantage here. The down side is that the village is not within walking distance.
