In an area which seems to sprout new hotels by the day, the Akdeniz Bahçesi stands out for the warmth of the welcome offered by its charming hosts, he from the Black Sea and she from İstanbul. Three accommodation units are scattered around a lovely garden full of citrus trees with chickens pecking at the ground underneath them. Two are named for their blue and green colour schemes; they are surprisingly classy and modern for such a rural setting and come with delightful bathrooms and the sort of small kitchens that made us itch to start chopping onions and tossing in the garlic.
In the winter the Kılıçs turn their hands to organic farming. Mrs Kılıç also has her own textile workshop and organizes courses in yoga, and kilim or batik-making.
Bikes are available for accessing the fiery Chimaera and generally getting around Çıralı -- Akdeniz Bahçesi is at the far end of the village set inland from the beach.

This place should be kept a well guarded secret: it is a small paradise. Well kept house, beautiful garden, great food, kind hosts, close to the beach. You can have good walks to Olympus and the eternal flames (Chimerae) or just sit on you portico and relax.
