A
&B HOME HOTEL, is a comfortable, friendly hotel in boutique style in the heart of Gocek.
The owner Birkan, a great hulk of a man who seems to delight every one of his guests with his relaxed, slightly bumbling hospitality. He started out as an engineer in the yuppielands of Istanbul, then became a yacht captain and decided to settle in Göcek, the boating capital of the Turkish Riviera. His spit-and-polish Harley-Davidson stands at the gate.
His hotel is on the main Street of Gocek, an uncrowded, pleasant thoroughfare lined with good pubs and antique shops. There is a bijou pool in the front yard, good for a daily dip, and a café-bar where you can grab a quick lunch and beer. Rooms are functional and supplied with all the basic comforts.
It is a convenient place to spend a couple of days before or after a sailing excursion.

Stayed at A&B Hotel early August 2008 with my daughter for a couple of days after a week of sailing. With Birkan I found my u nknown brother, as we are in physical size and mental state our equals. It was most enjoyable to stay at his place and his hospitality can hardly be equaled. The hotelroom is modest at first sight, but do not let it fool you. The beds are very good, the service excellent and the care-keeping refreshing. A&B is located at the main street of Gocek, hence one is in 20 steps at the quays with restaurants. Gocek itself I wish the property developers stay away as well as the mass tourism. Gocek is really a nice place to stay of one is not looking for the temptations Alanya etc. can offer.
